Visit the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey

General Directions

From Atlantic City Via Route 40/322:

Go past the Hamilton Mall on Route 322 towards Philadelphia for about 16 miles to Route 54 south. Go to first traffic light: turn left onto Jackson Road. Go approximately one mile to Martin Luther King Center, which is 661 Jackson Road.

From Philadelphia:

From Walt Whitman or Ben Franklin Bridge. Take Atlantic City Expressway, get off at Exit 28, which is Route 54 south and stay on Route 54 south to second traffic light, which is Jackson Road. Turn left, go one mile until you see Dr. Martin King Center, which is 661 Jackson Road.

From Atlantic City Via The Expressway:

Take The Atlantic City Expressway West to Exit 28, which is Route 54. When exiting, stay in the right lane; go down 1/8 mile until you see a U turn for Route 54 south. Stay on Route 54 south until second traffic light (mile post 4); turn left onto Jackson Road. Go approximately one mile to Martin Luther King Center, 661 Jackson Road.

From Delaware Memorial Bridge:

After the bridge, stay in left lane; follow signs for Route 40 East Atlantic City. Stay on Route 40 for approximately 34 miles until you reach Route 54 north. Go to second traffic light, you will see sign for Newtonviile, turn right onto Jackson Road. Follow Jackson Road for one mile until you see Martin Luther King Center, 661 Jackson Road.

From Route 206 Burlington County:

Take 206 South, cross over Route 30 (White Horse Pike) which will turn into Route 54 south, take Route 54 south down six traffic lights approximately 5 miles until you come to Newtonville, turn left onto Jackson Road, go one mile to Martin Luther King Center.
