Some of the educational programs the Museum provides, that you may choose from are:

Roosevelt’s Shopping Trip - Pre-School to Fifth
Curators and Explorers Scavenger Hunt - Middle to Junior High
A World Without African Americans - Middle to Junior High
• Student Docents - Junior High and High School

We encourage teacher and student participation with our presentations. One of the methods we have been developing is “Student Docents”-- that is, having older students select items from the museum’s catalog to explain to their classmates during the exhibition. This makes for a uniquely interactive and successful format, as well as providing those Student Docents with a great research and speaking opportunity.

An honorarium is requested for presenting the program (call to arrange). Approximately 1500 sq. ft. is required to accommodate the artifacts, which include four tables and three easels. On the day of the program we need volunteers to assist in unloading and loading the vehicle.

To arrange for a visit to your school, please call Ralph Hunter at (609) 704-5495, fax (609) 704-5532.
